Default Looking for a new shaft...

I'm currently hitting the Taylor Made R580 (S shaft) which I hit well but I think I would benefit from a firmer/better shaft. I have a pretty smooth but fast swing (115-125 range).

I'm a 78-84 golfer

Any reccomendations??

I highly recommend a Blue or White Diamana 73(x-stiff) or 83(stiff) grams.

$300 is more than I'm looking to spend. Let me clarify...looking for something less than $100

Aldila NV FTW

It's been out long enough that it should def be under $100

Great shaft, great price.

It depends on you launch angle and backspin. With 115+ though you should probably be in an X flex shaft. I would also go shorter than 45" and heavier than 65g if you want to hit more fairways.

Im not sure on the price or if it still available at most shops but the Graffaloy Blue shaft was a lot firmer at the tip then all other shatfs ive played and it was reasonably priced when i got it.

If your replacing just the shaft, be careful, often a shaft replacement will leave your club feeling too light/heavy. If you are only going to spend $100, you are going to end up with some of the current popular shafts that are stock for current drivers, you may want to think about waiting and spending the $ on a new driver with the shaft of choice that fits you best. I have had poor luck in past, every shaft change I have done to a driver has resulted in a poorly weighted driver or shortly after the surgery I have cracked faces that are not under any warranty to get a replacement from the company.
