Default AK - line check

FR Table had just become short handed. MP was a decent TAG and CO seemed a bit fishy over a few hands.

Preflop: Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

I'd say standard but the guy calling two cold on the turn has me worried that I'm splitting at best. Curious to see what others think.

standard.

MP has 88/KJ a lot but not enough to make folding correct.

I play it the same, fully expecting to lose at showdown. Every once in a while you get a pleasant surprise, though.

Thanks for the responses.

I could see MP raising the flop with something like KQ, so I felt that 3-betting the flop was correct.

I also doubted whether my hand was good after MP raised the turn, but calling down with TPTK in a big pot (espescially short handed) seemed right.

The funny thing about this hand was that I had had KK twice in the immediate previous 2 hands !

That made me feel that the TAG was going to consider that I was getting out of line as I only showed down one of the KK hands !
