Default Curb Your Enthusiasm

Bought all 5 seasons on DVD via ebay last month after watching a couple episodes on the internet, and I've just recently finished watching every episode.

I have to say this is my favorite show ever. I loved Seinfeld, but CYE is just on a different level, mostly because it's much more mature than Seinfeld, which is to be expected given one is a Sitcom.

Favorite episodes: The Doll, Krazee-Eyez-Killa, The Surrogate, The Group, The Interior Decorator, The Grand Opening, Kamikaze Bingo, The Survivor. Just to name a few.

Even the episodes that weren't really that funny were still enjoyable to me. I think Season 2-3 are the best and season 5 is the worst, but every episode was great in it's own way. There were sooo many classic scenes, I love this [censored] show.

Supposedly a 6th season is airing soon, anybody know when?

I put off watching this show for a long time because I never liked Seinfeld and heard from several people that CYE "was just like Seinfeld." I started watching it several months ago and found it absolutely hilarious. I quickly went through every episode and of the later ones especially liked the one where he pretends to be an orthodox jew. I even gave Seinfeld another try but still didn't find it funny.

I watched seasons 4 & 5 and just started watching season 1.

Hilarious. My favorite scenes were the beach wedding in The Korean Bookie and the ski lift scene with the orthodox jewish girl.

I like CYE too but have found it doesn't have the re-watchability factor that Seinfeld has. I don't laugh very hard the 2nd time around. Anyone else notice this?

I love Curb. The poster above me got it right when he says that it doesn't have the rewatchability of Seinfeld, but it is still great it in its own way. I think the next season is scheduled to air in the fall of this year.

My favorite episodes are "The Ski Lift" and "The Baptism"

yea, that's pretty hard to understand. I would guess that since a ton of the humor is character driven, you got to watch a few episodes before you "get it"

For years I didn't think Jerry was all that funny. But now that I see how he is completly egotistical, I think he is the funniest one. But it only took me about 2 mins. of watching the show to like it.

I get this question about 80% of the time I mention not liking Seinfeld and I hate it because it's not answerable. While it's sometimes possible to explain why something is funny, it's usually impossible to explain why something isn't. Why is "You, Me, and Dupree" not funny? What is it about Dane Cook's routine that is unfunny? See what I mean?

Krazee-Eyez Killah is my favorite episode, I just recently bought the 5 seasons too. I think Richard Lewis is awesome in the opening seasons.
