Default Phil Gordons Little green Book of Holdem (questions)

I Just wanna read a poker book for maybe the heck of it and maybe to just read one and help me out a little. I was looking at this bok and I have heard all these good reviews upon it..But what do YOU guys think about it?

Does it go over the NL holdem aspect good with outs/odds and flop play and all that good stuff and whatnot?

Yes it does that but more in an ad hoc way. It's more "anecdotes" if you will - not poker stories but snippets of advice. He pays homage to Harvey Penick's "Little Red Book" of golf, if you are familiar with that style.

If you're looking for something more related to pot odds, Hilger's book on odds is good for that. Sklansky's book is more structured theories on how to think about implied odds and expectation. Harrington is more about playing specific hands, as is Gordon's Little Blue Book.

Dan Harrington has several books out. Should I buy them. I am not sure if my next purchace will be one(or all) of his or something by T J Cloutier.

What do you guys think.

I just finished listening to the audio version of Little Green Book, I quite enjoyed it and it had some good tidbits in there.
