Default Turned straight on a three-flush board

No real reads yet, I just recently started getting back into poker after about 6 months of non-activity and decided to give NL a try after reading some books. Previously I've played up to $5/$10 limit successfully.

I would imagine some of you might consider preflop too loose, but I'm not really interested in comments on that. My PF play changes dramatically based on a number of factors and here I was playing quite loose.

Poker Room skin
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.25/$0.50
10 players

Stack sizes:
UTG: $48.00
UTG+1: $46.75
Hero: $81.30
MP1: $51.05
MP2: $30.10
MP3: $58.20
CO: $49.25
Button: $73.70
SB: $49.00
BB: $61.55

Pre-flop: (10 players) Hero is UTG+2 with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
2 folds, Hero calls, <font color="#cc0000">MP1 raises to $2</font>, 6 folds, Hero calls.

Flop: 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($4.75, 2 players)
Hero checks, <font color="#cc0000">MP1 bets $2.75</font>, Hero calls.

Turn: 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($10.25, 2 players)
Hero checks, <font color="#cc0000">MP1 bets $3</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $10</font>, <font color="#cc0000">MP1 raises to $38</font>

Hero...?

I'm folding the flop since you only have 6 clean outs and those arent even to the nuts or to a straight that uses both cards.

I fold preflop after the raise but you don't want to hear that so ok.

I fold the flop too cos like tubasteve says only 6 of your outs are to the nuts and your implied odds suck. Not only are you HU and OOP but you're drawing to a 4-card straight that'll be pretty obvious to your opponent if you make it.

I think its fine to call this preflop, I don't have a problem playing for the flush or two pair and implied odds wise you are okay. But this would be read dependant on villain as I would want to be confident I could manipulate him OOP.

But you've totally missed here, and the board is really ugly for you. Easy fold on the flop, even easier fold on the turn, and you shouldn't have raised him.

that literally says it all. this was played wrong on every street. As played lead turn and see what he does. that check raise is really ugly
