I feel that this guy plays a lot like us. What hands are we 3-betting OOP if we are him?

[/ QUOTE ]

66-88, worse nines, A5

which is why raising the turn is pretty bad.

sometimes I just call down from the flop bet, or raise the flop, call a 3bet, and call down.

the turn card sucks so much, and given your opponents line, your hand isn't good enough to raise the turn.

and all hands you are beating are going to bet the turn and river for you anyway.

I folded since I had no idea what he would 3-bet OOP here if he is decent. If he is doing it with a draw it probably is a flush draw.
Another reason for folding also(this was not included in my reads)was that he had folded some flops more suitable for bluffs or semi-bluffs earlier on when I preflop raised.
Everyone answering my post says that this is a easy call down which is great since I´ve learned something and will from now on always call down in this spot.

I dont play any hand like this. Barring some strange read, I basically check dark in this spot.

What about calling the flop bet and raising the turn? Do we have too much equity on our flop raise to pass it up in favor of a turn? Are there too many cards that will freeze up a donk better on the turn? I feel like if he has these type of stats, he will be a lot of turn cards, but I guess he may check the ones that we want him to continue betting, namely an A.

You shouldn't raise this flop. You should call down as played, but you wouldn't be in this situation if you didn't raise the flop. If the turn bricked, then you could consider raising after just calling, but not now.

if you aren't raising this flop with AJ, I wouldn't be raising with A9, you just become so easy to play against post flop.

And I would usually just call this flop, with the intention of raising the turn, but on that turn card, I would go into call down mode, and bet if he checked.
