 Malfoy never did anything that evil and a lot of what he did do was because voldemort would kill him if he didn't

THought the book was pretty good overall...Ill probably reread it again eventually as I was wanting to get through the book before any spoilers came out.

I thought it got a little slow through the middle parts but overall was a good read. Last 300 pages were amazing.

surely if you let malfoy off the hook for evil things done because he was afraid of voldemort, we can let snape off the hook for killing dumbledore because, ohh, DUMBLEDORE ASKED HIM TO.

I really dont understand how the guy who started this subthread said that we couldnt forgive snape for killing dumbledore.

Its not that he was the only one who could control it, it was that he was the actually owner of the wand since it was he who blasted it from Dumbledore's hand, and not Snape.

Voldemort assumed Snape was the owner of the wand since he killed Dumbledore, but since Dumbledore died voluntarily and didn't have his wand in his possesion at the time, the ownership of the wand never transferred to Snape.

Since Voldemort was never the "true" owner of the wand, as he assumed he would be after killing Snape he could not maximize its potential.

Harry was the true owner, since he had taken Malfoy's other wand.

 He disarmed Dumbledore at the end of book 6, so it's now under his command.

 1. Does it ever say how Dumbeldore defeated Grindenwald even though Grindy had the Elder Wand. This was supposed to be impossible since they could never lose a duel...
