Weird turn spot with trips
Stars 400NL
UTG is a fish with about $240 to start the hand, 42/15/2. CO is very tight, solid with $420, 15/11/5 - jessicaafk for those who play the game Hero is on the button and covers, playing a TAG game Obviously either calling or raising the flop both seem super strong; I call to try to keep the fish in behind me. In retrospect raising is probably better to get it in on the flop vs a worse 7 that CO might have, and to fold out flush draws. So I botched the flop. What to do now on the turn? The overbet really threw me off, and I feel like it is almost always a made flush trying to get a call from my obvious 7. I dont think this is a bluff ever, and I dont think the flop raise is a pure bluff either against the fishy UTG, so I think a naked A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] can be discounted. Hero is dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] on the button Preflop: UTG raises to $8, 1 fold, CO calls, Hero calls, 2 folds. Flop: 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG bets $22, CO raises to $56, Hero calls $56, UTG folds Turn: Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] CO pushes for $320 into a $140 pot. Re: Weird turn spot with trips
I think you should fold! If he's solid, pushing here with a worse 7 against you is pretty bad.
He's so tight preflop so I don't think there's many hands in his range that you beat, 87,67 maybe(!) but this looks like 33 to me. |
