This is a very good point, 56 looks very likely given this action. It is also fun to push and since it is very unlikely villain has 68, pushing this river gives villain an opportunity to make a big mistake.

I dont understand how villian would ever call our river raise w/o a split or 86. I could be wrong...but maybe he calls w/ a set/twopr or somethin. I might be a nit, but i dont see anything wrong with calling.

Well, it's v. unlikely that villian has exactly 86 here given the read and how the hand played out. And yes he has a 6 here alot, but we're basicly guarranteed a split pot here.

Villian could have deciced to take a stand and have 2 pairs / set / overpair and is now worried that hero will check behind w/ a one pair hand because the board got scary. Now if hero raises all-in he could talk himself into calling b/c hearts missed or he can beat AA/KK and thinks that's what hero has. Stranger things have happened.

push. i don't see how anyone would call your raise w/o the straight since villain showed strength by potting it on the river. by pushing, villain may lay down a 6 some of the time.

I think the real question is...would he ever call the flop with 86. Given your description I would think no. I guess popping it another 1k works if you think he is fishy enough to call you with A2, trips

He'd call whit 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], but since you have the 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] we can rule that out. I really don't see him having the nuts here.

I think that in situation like that, a raise to 1500$ (1k more) is often interpreted as a milking raise, thus showing strenght.

A push here can be seen as a bluff. The vilain wont think you got an overpair after a push since you'd probably just call whit it. You push is a either or else. Got the 6 or have nothing. You'll get the occasionnal call form 2pairs hands and set here some of the time.

Default results of this hand

i went AI, he thought a while and folded.

i thought we were tied a huge percentae of the time and we had enough to money to v possibly push him of a 6. he had like 2250 left. whitelime who sweated the hand asked me what i had and says sb will never ever fold a six there. i dunno, he prob right. i think i misplayed this and shouldve raised to ~1250 and tried to squezze some value from 97, etc.
