Default So I followed a buddy at party 5/10nl

I am a 1/2nl grinder with about a 6k roll. I noticed a buddy of mine playing 5/10 so I go sit to his left. The dude is a megadonk. Stats are 89/25/1. One of the first few hands:

Party Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $5/$10 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

dswdo: $2,786.12
<font color="black">Hero: $1,000.00</font>
liquidice777: $1,873.00
TheSoundOfMusic: $1,475.00
pabi4: $1,154.26

<font color="black">Preflop:</font> Hero is dealt 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5 Players)
<font color="red">liquidice777 raises to $25.00</font>, TheSoundOfMusic folds, pabi4 calls $25.00, dswdo folds, Hero calls $15.00

<font color="black">Flop:</font> ($80) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 Players)
Hero checks, liquidice777 checks, <font color="red">pabi4 bets $150.00</font>, <font color="red">Hero raises all-in to $975.00</font>, liquidice777 folds, pabi4 calls $825.00

<font color="black">Turn:</font> ($2030) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players - 1 All-In)

<font color="black">River:</font> ($2030) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players - 1 All-In)

Pot Size: $2,030.00 ($2 Rake)

pabi4 had 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (a straight Five to Nine) and WON (+$1,028.00)
Hero had 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (two pairs, Nines and Sevens) and LOST (-$1,000.00)

[censored]... well that was fun now its back to 1/2nl

If this is a real life buddy, you're a douchebag.

Also, you got pozzed.

To clarify things, he isn't my real friend. Just a random donkey I added to my buddy list when he was donking off at 1/2nl. Do I get more respect now? lol

No. Less. If you are shot taking against someone you believe to be a donk why would you stick it in on such a draw heavy board?

Pretty obvious it's just some guy you buddylisted because of his woeful play, but I agree with the general consensus that you got owned on this hand and the river just adds extra emphasis.
