Re: Many people go from low stakes to high stakes inside 1-3 years?
[ QUOTE ]
stop reading the books and start putting in tons of hands, spend every waking hour thinking about poker strategy and every sleeping hour dreaming up nonsensical poker situations in a repeating pattern which will drive you insane as the cards flit frustratingly around your mind, learn to piss in a bottle and develop the ability to microwave ready meals without timing out on 19 tables while you dash from kitchen to pc, lose contact with all your acquaintances as you rack up massive amounts of dough while cockslapping any concept of a regular circadian rhythm and play while drunk a handful of times each month so you can take high stakes shots without fear... [/ QUOTE ]This is pretty good, though I fail at microwaving foods. OP - you should start at 100/200 instead and work your way down to 2/1. That way you also get to play all those limits but it's a lot easier to do. |

Re: Many people go from low stakes to high stakes inside 1-3 years?
I do not play holdem No-Limit in cash games. I prefer limit. But I do love playing No-Limit sit and gos, or multi-table tourneys. I found the comment on Brian Townsend to be interesting. I am probably big time paraphrasing here, but after he found Cardrunners, poker made sense and he went on to crush. This Is my reccomendation to you, go to Cardrunners, I will someday.
