Default QQ OOP RR pot deep

Villain is 20/9/2.4 over some hundred hands and seems pretty basic meowchowmeow.

Is this standard? FWIW when I checked the river I was probably folding to any decent bet. Thoughts?

Seems okay but this is a difficult situation (qq and ak oop and gettign rr hand is too good to fold pf but often hard to play well on the flop). It looks like he is value betting on the turn. I think the other standard line would be check the flop and then lead the turn.

I'd either crai or fold the turn. By teh turn you need to decide weather you are ahead or behind, and take the appropriate action.

Why? Your reasoning isn't backed up by any substantial reasoning. I like the way OP played this hand btw.

Check/calling the whole hand leaves you completely clueless. By the turn, you should know if you area head or behind. I don't like a call because it leaves you OOP in a big pot and you still don't really know if you are ahead or behind. Lately I've found it better for my game to take a decision and live by it and I've had some good results.

OP whats your plan on the river?

Tickner - just because you want to make a decision easy does not make it the most +EV line. Point is by playing this way we can make an attempt at controlling the pot with a marginal (in this situation) hand whilst extracting the most from a weaker pair. Most unknowns are not going to 3 barrel on this board with AK/JJ, so a turn call and a river fold look fine given his bet sizes. If he had bet closer to pot on turn I would muck.

I agree, but do you think that calling the turn and planning to check/fold is the optimal line?

I'm not trying to make a point, I'm trying to learn from you. I'm not the king of poker even though sometimes I want to be (or try to sound like I am), so when I make a psot I do encourage people to tell me I'm wrong.
