Your account of things, could in no way be misconstrued as "Funny" by the participants of a forum in which the most respected individual on the forum is your target.

pokervintage,

do you just troll NVG in order to pick apart people's posts line by line? i am so glad that i am not related to you, because that's the only way i'd be stuck talking to you for any extended period of time. you seem like a huge jerk.

The first person I thought of was that psycho, Joy Miller.

Of course, only because that whole Terrence Chan/Playboy mansion charity event was so recent.

Doubtful, but she could use some more bad press.

I'm taking credit for bringing DS in line with my corrobation of the story. And PV, lighten up, please. You now look like a bigger ass than you did before.

Just to take the heat off this guy, it is possible that there was an incident regarding a screw up on the list and when the list person said I wasn't on it, I asked her if she knew who I was, as in "do you realize I was on the list".

I would never say "do you know who I am" to cut in line or for any other reason of that nature.

But I do very vaguely remember that smart reply and vaguely remember protesting that my comment was misinterpreted.

[/ QUOTE ]

So by "not a true story." you mean that it is "completely true", but that you were misunderstood in your intentions?

mkay.

OP, I believed you from the start. Don't listen to these haters. You've done NVG a fine service.

I still contend that this thread garnered much more drama than it ever deserved, but I did want to comment on a couple of things.

1. Pokervintage, you might consider a career in politics. Your ability to disect sentences, take parts of them out of context and then use those parts to support your point is the basis of many political platforms, isn't it? I wonder though, if a political campaign might not uncover some deepseated crush on a certain poker writer that would prove to be embarrassing for you?

2. This original post was not designed to be bad publicity for anyone, particularly not the redhead it referred to. I thought her name was Barbara but I could be mistaken, but regardless of her name, on my short time at that event, this incident was representative of how she handled situations fairly, quickly, and with a little humor.

Barbara sounds right now that you mention it.

Not sure where I came up with the other name.
I agree that she could occasionally be pretty funny. Thought she was really good at her job.
