Default Re: Patriots line -24.5 before the end of the season?

i dunno what the books will open with, but does everyone agree a fair line has to be in the 20's? seems to me even a -24 line would be low vs. some teams, and a -20 line would still be low vs everyone (but the colts obv). I have trouble believing the eagles are going to keep it within 20 when only 2 other teams have all year long.

somehow the line opened at -15 @ buffalo. Maybe the bye week+indy game made everyone forget how good NE is, or maybe vegas isn't ready to accept that any NFL team should be favored by more than 20 points.

Until we are in the 24~ point range I'm riding the pats all the way.

Every post since midnight has gotten more and more retarded. Some suggested an idea... We take a vote of people and banish them to a "I R TARD" thread in the SBF until their time is up. Then they can post other stuff. Habitual offenders will be subject to similar programs like "3 Strikes" or "Alabama Ice".

I propose the last 7 posters in the thread form the inaugural group. With furyshade taking only a small time for corroborating with teh enemies.

FWIW, this line was Phi @ NE -17 as one of Sportsbook's "Games of the Year" selections during last week (before today's games).

Obviously, it is going to open higher (regardless of what is happening with the terribly over-rated Donovan McNabb).

3rd highest win % among active QBs?
Multi-Pro Bowler?
Best/2nd best Red zone rating [until very recently] of all QBs? 7-5 postseason record?
3rd highest QB Rating last year among starters? Better TD%, INT% and YPP than Brady last year?

Yeah, he's recovering from ACL surgery, and they took his best WR away to NWE, and his pass-protection has been mostly awful this year. Injured McNabb is certainly 'overrated' compared to 100% healthy McNabb, I fully agree.

Let's see the stats prior to ACL Injury last year:
| 2007 phi | 10 | 195 326 59.8 2329 7.1 13 6 | 30 135 0 | 95.5 rating

I mean, he's no Peyton or Brady, but no one else is either.

He's no Jeff Garcia.

Admittedly, most football fans haven't heard of an offensive line. It never seems to enter the conversation, although it is the most important factor when discussing the effectiveness of an offense.

You probably thought Aikman and Emmitt Smith were amazing talents.

Do you quote RBI's when discussing how good a baseball player is?
