thanks for the positive feedback guys, had no idea if any of this would be interesting...

now to some of the questions.

there really wasnt any pain from the actual accident, i never lost feeling in any limbs and overall there was just a tremendous sense of fatigue but no real pain.
the stretcher that i was put on from the mountain to the hospital however was EXTREMELY painful due to that hard bump behind my head.

also as to the not moving around common sense stuff.

no i had absolutely no idea what the hell was going on to me, as i said the doctor gave me absolutely 0 information, and i honestly never really had a clue as to the severity of my situation.

since i never lost feeling in any part of my body at any time the thought of paralysis never even entered my mind and it wasn't till afterward that i found out how incredibly lucky i had been.

also to the poster who asked about common sense...i thought the fact that i had none of that was pretty evident from the story!!!

How much did this little operation set you back, or are you in a good ol national health scheme?

Your turns of phrase are very good. Thanks for the read.

the total bill was in excess of 200K.
luckily i had insurance so i only had to pay like 3K in deductibles.

in totally unrelated news blue cross declined to renew my policy the following year.

So you did it all for the nookie?

Always trying to be the hero, hero snowboarding jumps, hero calls, hero bluffs, etc.

Dude, I never want to hear you complaining about bad beats ever again in poker, you are f-ing freerolling life right now.

Question, do you have medical insurance now, if so, more expensive than normal?

i do have insurance and i dont think its any higher then normal.
i'm not actually at a greater risk to rebreak my neck and in fact its prolly better for em cuz if i do i'm like 99% to die so that wont cost em anything.
