Default Terminology

I've seen many posts where people say " if it's less than t100". What does the "t" in front of the amount mean. I believe it's just chips but any insight? Thanks!

Looks like tournament chips to me. You say t100 instead of $100 to make sure it's clear you're not talking about literal money but rather tournament money.
