[/ QUOTE ] Yes, and yes, many people keep a home phone for emergencies or when relatives, recruiters may be trying to contact you, or just for when cellphone service is down. Virtually everyone I know has a backup. I know a ton of people that only give their cell# to close friends and the home phone to everyone else. Do others have 2 cells for this purpose?

People I work with spend alot of time in ERs at hospitals and some of them don't allow cell phones but they will allow pagers.
I read the other day somewhere that there are still old people that RENT THEIR PHONE from the phone company and they may be paying up to $20/month for it. [censored]
