Default another virus question

i clicked on a link that was shady (not porn) and it kept bringing up a window saying install active x. obv i wasnt sure about it and kept saying no but it would just go back to the original "you're missing active x please download" or whatever.

so i hit ctrl alt dlt to get rid of the firefox window and it said you have chosen to install the file. i hit cancel and then ended the firefox window using my windows task manager. i'm still a little freaked out and am running a virus scan now. am i at risk?

As long as you didn't dl the active x control you should be fine for the most part, a virus scan wouldn't be a bad thing though.
