"decent equity"? All we have is a gutshot. If anything, I'd probably fold flop. Calling to float is ok I guess, though you should probably bet turn to just end the hand there.

let me ask u an honest question, would u rather raise the flop with AK or 56?

[/ QUOTE ]
Against a calling range of {AT,TT+}, AK has 20% equity and 65 has about 17%. So I'd rather raise with AK.

well if Villain could have 33 or 22 then 56 is better. but u get the point.

a gut shot has good equity vs villain's calling range of a raise. and it's even better if we have a back-door draw to a flush.

fwiw, i misread the hand and thought it was a reraised pot preflop as the title of the post suggested.

so i wouldn't push the flop this deep...sorry for any confusion the title was misleading and it's hard to read the action given the messed up converter.

Er, I think raising the flop and shoving the turn is good but just shoving the flop seems like a huge overbet.

Good point about the sets, but I don't think most players raise over limpers from the BB with 22 and 33. I think he most likely checks with those hands.

Let's do the math here, shall we? I'm gonna tentatively set BB's range here at AT+, 99+. That's 99 combinations. If he calls a shove with AT, TT+, he's calling with 39 combinations. That means that in this scenario, he's calling you 39.39% of the time. When called, we will win the pot 17.89% of the time.

When called:
.1789(60.7) - .8211(48.2) = -28.73

When he folds, you gain 12.5

.6061(12.5) - .3939(28.73)
Shove EV = -$3.74

Edit: Oh, you recanted on the whole "shove" thing, so I guess this post was pretty pointless. I'll just leave my (probably bad) math up here for posterity, then.

i think you slughtly off with the numbers here, i did calculation and if he's calling range for allin is JJ+ and set's
we got EV=+0.34
