Generating Adsense revenue with a blog

So I just started a blog with the intention to make money off of it with google adsense. Is there any war I can improve my chances of driving traffic to my blog. Do I just need to constantly write good content and just hope people like my blog and come back ot read it? If anyone has some tricks that have worked for them, and are willing to share that'd be great.

Really though do I have any chance to make any signficant money off of it or is it a waste of time. With the millions of blogs out there is it unreasonable to expect to make any money of off it. Once again I'm new to the whole adsense thing and any advice would be greatly appreciated

IMO you won't get much traffic to your blog unless you're a really good writer or someone "important".

Getting traffic is not hard, it's getting people to return to your blog on a regular basis.
