JTo I flop top pair+gutshot and I dont know what the correct play is

Live 10/20 full.

5 players limp, I limp J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] on the button, blinds complete.

Flop is T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

Blinds check, 1 limper checks, 2nd limper bets. 1 caller, next guy raises. A fold and its on me.

Nothing remarkable about these players so far, everyone is playing pretty straightforward.

I usually fold this spot. My T is probably no good, and even if it is I have a reverse implied odds problem. The draw at best is to a chop and catching a J is usually no good. And there's a flush draw.

I just can't think of a compelling reason to continue.

I should add that if I'm going to continue the hand I like a three bet better than calling two cold. The goal would be to get it heads up. I don't know how your normal 10/20 plays, but if my experience in the Canterbury 8/16 means anything I don't think it will usually work on such a drawy board.

The raiser is bit far away to be trying to buy the button or a free card, is he aggro enough to push a flush draw or pair+BDFD here? Anytime there is 2 to a suit out I try to watch out for this. Note that QJ [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] might raise here as well with a ton of equity.

Call and reevaluate unless you've got a great read on that raiser (passive=fold, aggro=call)

Hey Kit you have to stop it with the tough situations LOL...

You have TP but facing two cold and unknown action behind, and with 4 outs you have about a 16% chance of making your straight.. which may be worthless if the board gets clubbed again.
