My favorite is during my senior year tours of UofI they kept saying over and over that it was "a public ivy." I still get a kick out of that to this day.

Hahahaha, Dave D, awesome "Ricky Prohl." That is a fantastic answer.

Kep em comin dorm. I assume I'm not the only person finding these really interesting. And I think the thread taking a turn to non-academics worked out splendid. I'm getting some interesting information about places I would otherwise have 0 idea about (except U of I, half of the things listed for U of I are preached to you over and over, ugh).

Emory-- probably known for having one of the nicest college campus' ever and also known for having tons of hot japs.

Macalester College (MN):

Top 25 Liberal Arts School (Great econ, math, cs, bio & international poli sci, Kofi Annan is an alum)

Outside of education we are known for international diversity, hippies, MN Normal activists, protests, smart lazy kids & high tuition

Edit: oh yeah we have been a top 5 school in soccer (D3) for over a decade
