ptbb/100 winrate for 1/2 players
Was just sitting around thinking today and I started wondering what the distribution of long-term winrates for 1/2 6max regulars looks like. If I had to give a really rough guess, maybe something like this?:
Top 1% - 7 ptbb/100 top 5% - 6 ptbb/100 top 10% - 5 ptbb/100 20% - 4 ptbb/100 50% - 2 ptbb/100 75% - 0 ptbb/100 So maybe the bottom 25% of regulars are losing money? Not sure if that seems high or low, just a rough guess. I don't datamine so I can't really give much empirical data, just thought it'd be an interesting discussion. Also it depends a lot on what you define as a regular... I guess maybe those that play at least ~10k hands a month? Also was wondering what people thought the upper limit winrate at 1/2 would be for world-class players ala CTS/aba. If I had to guess it'd probably be 10-12 ptbb/100. I certainly could be way off in my estimates, just wanted to know what other people thought. |

Re: ptbb/100 winrate for 1/2 players
$1/2 Sept, Oct, 40k hands running @ 9PTBB/100. Nov played 5k hands so far @ 5PTBB/100.
I think your figures are a bit low. |
