Best way to play AA on WPEX\'s \"Never Lose Wednesday\"
I posted this on the probability board, but since it also involves judgement mayber it's better here...
For some reason I am having trouble getting my head around this. I am trying to figure out the best way to play AA on Wednesday at WPEX. At 3/6 if you lose with AA they give you $50. For the sake of this let's assume my AA is not in a blind. The MOST I can make from losing is $47 ($50-$3 SB call) The LEAST I can win from AA holding up is $4 (the blinds) Obviously the best outcome is to profit more than $47 from winning. Thats usuelly pretty tough to do at 3/6. What is the best standard stratagy to play in this situation? It's obviously better to limp if none or few are already in the pot. Past that I'm having trouble figuring the best way to work the numbers |

Obvious question....do you have to go to showdown?
I would guess so, so simply call the whole way unless there are 9 limpers and you flop top set. |

Re: you have to showdown*
You don't have to go to showdown, but they have some fine print that says you must play "normally". I take that to mean you can still limp preflop, but then bet your hand.

Re: you have to showdown*
I play 3/6 short and I see some of my opponents limping in with aces and then not betting them, hoping their opponent(s) will catch something. I've tried to run the numbers but a lot of it is subjective, like how often you'll lose slow playing aces.
My style is fairly loose and I usually get lots of action, so I figured it's best to play them like normal. |

How can you NOT go to showdown and claim you lost with aces? Just fold em?

Re: you have to showdown*
that would be sweet. Just fold preflop and send in your HH.

Re: you have to showdown*
I would assume that once it is abused the promotion will be removed. I try to play the aces normal.
