Re: metagame question kinda
I don't like to know what the blanks were in general. I think people can fold A9/A8/AK/AQ pretty often depending on opponent.

Re: metagame question kinda
Depends what the limits are, as I imagine the lower limit TAGs are more apt to say "What can I beat?" and completely ignore all the missed draws that they can beat. But I think folding out AQ is pretty rare here. My guess is you're realistically trying to fold out A9/A8 or KQ or keep K9/Q9 from bluffing you off the hand if you bet. Not sure that makes a bet profitable though.
BTW, did you consider 3betting preflop here? I think I like to because it gives me a chance to bet/3bet Kxx and Qxx flops that inevitably hit someone's KJ/QJ/88 type hands and they always call down from there. |

Re: metagame question kinda
I think if I wasn't following up on the river, I probably wouldn't bet the turn.

Re: metagame question kinda

Re: metagame question kinda
"Metagaming is a broad term usually used to define any strategy, action or method used in a game which transcends a prescribed ruleset, uses external factors to affect the game, or goes beyond the supposed limits or environment set by the game"
So I'm wondering, does an unknown call me on the river here with A-hi? I'm not making a matagame play by betting/checking, i'm talking about the current "metagame". Like in HU where nobody would fold a pair to me ever. I'm not talking about my play, I'm talking about his. Does he call me on the river with AQhi here always? I used to not think so, like a year ago, now I can't be convinced otherwise. I wanted some opinions on the current metagame. Not "lol i open shove 7hi and show for metagame." Think one past that. |

Re: metagame question kinda
So you fold to a river bet with AQ? So if I posted
"Hero is CO with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Hero raises, SB calls, bb call Flop J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Checked to hero who bets, Sb call, BB c/r's, I call Sb calls Turn Blank BB bets, I call, SB fold River Blank BB Bets, I..." You wouldn't say "as played call river"? |
