Good time for a KK laydown?
Villain is the usual pretty good TAG:

Re: Good time for a KK laydown?
I think this could just as easily be a paranoid AQ or maybe 9Tc. If he is taggy I would say he's doing this with AQ, QJs, 9Tc, 22, AJc... probably not often JJ+.
You have to have more than enough equity to call here assuming his range give the pot odds you have here (as you're only throwing in slightly more than 1/3 of the pot). If you think he's feeling cocky enough (with that stack behind him) to think he can push you off a hand with this action then you're looking even better. Unfortunately I can't pokerstove this at work... |

Re: Good time for a KK laydown?
I probably call this against an unknown at 10NL but it is close.
This a draw a lot (1/2 the time against and unknown), but you are behind some likely ones like AcJc, AcTc, Tc9c and barely ahead of AcXc. Basically you are even against the likely set of draws. So the question is how often is this a big hand (AA, QQ,JJ,QJ) and how often is it AQ/air? You also have a couple of outs and a back door sfd. Getting 2/1 on your money it only has to be air/AQ about 1/10 of the time to make this a slightly profitable call imo. I'd say it is against a random 10NL player. But not by much. |

[/ QUOTE ] Villain, if decent, knows that he doesn't have tons of FE here, especially at this limit... Thus he wont be pushing a lone draw or aq here imo... We're behind a combo draw as well.. Think this is a fold, BUT only if u have a read that villain is good |

Re: Good time for a KK laydown?
If he's decent isn't he 3-betting JJ&QQ? That would make this an easy call. Esp. with all the draws out there.

Re: Good time for a KK laydown?
This is a snap call against a tag. A tag 3 bets both QQ and JJ almost always I would think. I know I do and I play taggy. This could easily be a combo draw, a flush draw with an A, or even AQ. I need a good read here to fold, board is too wet.
