Default vista+office 97?

hello all,

I'm going to buy a new laptop running vista and i was wondering if there was any problem with installing my old copy of Office 97 on it. i pretty much only need word and excell, and don't really want to shell out £80 if i don't need to. any help appreciated.

Oh, and while i'm at it: i'm thinking of buying the SONY VAIO VGN FZ21M. it seems pretty good. if anyone here has any TR of using one, that would be v cool. thanks.

I highly doubt office 97 will work. I use OpenOffice (free), which lets you save files with microsoft extensions and they are fully compatible. I don't have Vista, but the website does say it is Vista compatible.
