Looks like it's about 475 miles from Richmond, VA, to Foxwoods. That's considerably further than 4 hours. I don't know anything about the area...

There's a "Brick and Mortar" forum under "General Poker Discussion", that's a good place to ask about casinos.

I've only been at once place that had stud at all and it was awfully low limit (1/2), a bunch of grizzled old guys.

The OP is in southern Vermont. Yes, Foxwoods is within a couple hours. Go to their site, they have maps.

Please don't cross-post unless you have a good reason to, especially on your first day. This question is best asked in the Brick and Mortar forum, except that I don't think that *TT* is going to allow a discussion of underage gambling. Wait until you're 21, and go to Foxwoods. By then, maybe Mohegan Sun will have opened their room as well. I think Turning Stone is 18+, but I don't know if they have any stud games.

Im sorry about that. I didn't realize the rules on posting were so strict it won't happen again, and I had no intention of starting a conversation on underage gambling.

Andy is sometimes grumpy. But I think he's a decent man, he's just commenting "too straight forward"

Andy is always grumpy.

I'm not usually one for FYPs, but it seems appropriate in this case.
