Re: Sbrugby on 300-600 NL.
I think brian is playing under rolled. Losing 250k in a day, or 1mill in a month shouldn't be a big deal. Well, he is down more than that, and he is still playing 3/6. Maybe he should play these guys at 2/4 or even 1/2, get his confidence back, get over the hump, build up his BR, and move back up.
Why do I think he is hurting? B/c he makes posts in his blog about it; if it was nothing (like a 10% loss of BR), he wouldn't post, but OBV it is significant to him. |

Re: Sbrugby on 300-600 NL.
[ QUOTE ]
[/ QUOTE ] What bankroll do you need to play 300-600 when one of the supposed best player obviously can have a downswing of 1 500 000 USD in about 4300 hands? Is 20 000 000 USD big enough? Maybe some of the un-known players who play Brian actually have much bigger bankroll than that? I don't know, but they should have. There are some players who have been winners in the highest live games for decades and I would be a bit surprised if this quite loaded players with a lot of experience in terms of variance, would not try to grab Brian's money. The history of how easy Bobby Baldwin caught Brian bluffing at Bellagio was maybe significant. I doubt that any “online” pro are loaded enough for this game no matter how good they are because of the big variance. |

Re: Sbrugby on 300-600 NL.
sodom what ur saying makes no sense, GL at trying to get 90k hands live in... you play waaay waaay more hands online, and you have way more variance (since more hands). Live players are usually more fishy, and more players with lots of money losing it because they can.

Re: Sbrugby on 300-600 NL.
when brian wins hes the best player in the world.
when brian loses hes on a downswing. 25 buy-ins in under 5k hands is sick no matter what the stakes are. sodom brought up a great point. with the nosebleed games being incredibly aggressive (stacking off lightly with top/mid pair, flush/straight draw on the turn etc.) i dont think any traditional bankroll management rules apply to these games. |
