River call with overcard and 4 hearts out.. donkey call?
I know i shud normally not post result but i figure that eveyone wud know i won this hand since i posted it.. basically villain had been very aggressive so i didnt believe his river bluff (37/9/5) and there was so much money in the pot on the river that i figured it was good odds if the only thing i thought beat me was flush.
what wud you do different on each street? i know the check on turn was bad.. was i just a donkey to call river or was i right to put him on bluff? ** Game ID 1427485627 starting - 2007-06-06 10:53:51 ** Big Shot [ Hold 'em ] (0.25|0.50 No Limit - Cash Game) Real Money - rancidpunk sitting in seat 1 with $65 .86 - Super_Tjelle sitting in seat 2 with $68 .62 [ Dealer ] - johannace sitting in seat 3 with $44 .93 - -leturf- sitting in seat 4 with $48 .28 - bonnbenka sitting in seat 5 with $49 .50 - mnymyway sitting in seat 6 with $60 .91 johannace posted the small blind - $0.25 -leturf- posted the big blind - $0.50 ** Dealing card to -leturf-: bonnbenka called - $0.50 mnymyway called - $0.50 rancidpunk raised - $2.00 Super_Tjelle folded johannace folded -leturf- called - $2.00 bonnbenka called - $2.00 mnymyway called - $2.00 ** Dealing the flop: -leturf- checked bonnbenka checked mnymyway checked rancidpunk bet - $4.12 -leturf- raised - $10.30 bonnbenka folded mnymyway folded rancidpunk called - $10.30 ** Dealing the turn: -leturf- checked rancidpunk checked ** Dealing the river: (28 dollars in pot) -leturf- checked rancidpunk bet - $28.85 -leturf- called - $28.85 rancidpunk shows: -leturf- shows: -leturf- wins $83.55 from the main pot |

Don't post results.
Don't mind the raise on the flop, but the call and then a heart turns you should be worried. Then a 4th heart on the river calling a pot bet, yeah that's pretty bad. If you really think he didn't have flush draw, you should have bet the turn. |

Villain shows up with at J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]+ too often to make this a good call imho.

bet turn, as played i wouldn't call the river here just because he is aggressive, you don't have a heart

sorry, but this is haaarrible. villain butchered the hand and still played it better.
Edit: very thinly veiled brag . . . ----------------> BBV |

Do you have a tendency to make these kinds of calls? If so, you should seriously look at your game. This is a calling stations call if ever I saw one. Everyone at that table now has you labelled - so again, if you are making calls like this a lot expect to get buried in the weeks ahead......

wat you put him on? K7??
you were obviously happy with the call being good but do you think you would have had a right to be annoyed if it wasn't? just to get into your thought process during the hand, could you tell us if you were talking at the screen on the river? ...if you were, what were you saying? ...something along the lines of " f*** it if he has me bet, im calling anyway, i don't care, im hard" |
