Default Playing medium pocket pairs

Standard situation question, you are in MP with 77, you limp in with a few others, lets say there are 5 or 6 small bets in the pot. The flop comes with 2 non suited face overcards and a small card:
1. its checked to you
2. sb checks, bb bets, utg calls
3. it's checked around and the CO bets

Thanks in advance guys

Raising preflop makes this so much easier.

1. I check
2. I fold
3. I fold

I don't mind raising pf but I usually end up in the same place and maybe that's cause it's the micros

Raise. Always Raise. You isolate if you can get some of the limpers to fold. You also build a pot. Then on the flop you can take it from there. If you've gotten down to yourself and one other person (or even two) you can often take it down with a c-bet.

Otherwise, when you hit your set, there's a pot built up and anyone who plays with you will quickly find all their chips in the pot to stay in the hand. (Which is exactly what you want, right?)

LOL. I sorta breezed right past that "small bets" comment.
