if i still played a lot on stars id say id like to see the blinds go from 100/200 to 150/300/25 to 200/400/50.

The reason i dont play on stars anymore is b.c. of the rake w/ SNGs. Its just soo hard to make a profit playing nowadays w/ the high rake that i had to find some kind of solution. So i switched to FTP for awhile b.c. of rakeback and all the bonuses. If stars could somehow lower the rake for their SNGs then they cold compete w/ FTP. I will say though that the 15+1 is a good price, so if other tourneys could be that around that price i would be more likely to jump back onto stars as my main site.

I think the important benefit to Stars of lowering the rake is that it drives pros up to the next level. The lower level STTs are the bread and butter game, and they are where new players turn to first. If they are filled with multi-tabling TAGs, those players get wiped out more quickly. By making the higher buy in STTs more competitive rake wise, Stars improves the quality of the lower buy in games for their casual players. The total cost isn't as high because there will always be a relatively low number of higher buy in games as compared to lower limits.

Some day this will become like the airlines, and being like Southwest, the first to jump in with consistently low costs, will pay dividends down the road.

ENOUGH about rakes and antes. More imagination please.

Voice off more about changing to hand-based over time-based.

And did any of you even read the comment about new payout structures (in addition to the old ones): i.e. 2.20 buyin, 6-5-4-3-2 payout.

I repeat, NO MORE posts about rakes and antes.

Keep antes, lower rake.

The 5 payouts for 10 players suggestion is gross.

I like the hand based blind levels much better. Stallers are bad for the game.

Edit- Oh, and plz put SOMETHING between 100/200 25 and 200/400. 150/300 25 would be splendid

players should start with 2000 chips, make the blind levels a tad shorter like 4 minutes, and add a 150/300/25 level. also make the antes slighty bigger at 200/400

Doesn't telling people what to complain about and what not to complain about kind of defeat the purpose of a feedback thread? It is pretty obvious that rake is probably the biggest issue concerning the long-term viability of the high-stakes sngs.

Another thing that would happen with lower rake is that if more pros are regularly filling up the higher sngs is that more random fish will want to play them too since they fill up fast. The random high roller who is steaming doesn't want to sign up for a 2k right now because, guess what, they never go!

Im not saying replace the normal SNG structure. I'm merely saying that, PokerSTars, being as big as it is, should give players more options. 6-5-4-3-2 is just another option (one I personally like, and many others do as well. good for beginners. brings in more players.)
