great advice and let me add the guide to identifying bad players by screen name:

THE RULES:
1) first name/nickname
2) capital letters
3) poker terminology

ex trifecta mega-donk:

BIGJONSTR8FLUSH

[/ QUOTE ]

perhaps less reliable:

4) a bunch of numbers at the end of the name

examples: BIGJONSTR8FLUSH284213, acehole888

the second you feel yourself getting emotionally involved and making angry plays, its time to leave the table.

lmao, did you steal this from one of many times i have posted it as a reason i did something

heh, nah i think the idea came from me 5 bet shoving A7o yesterday, because i was annoyed by a 40/24 and instaquitting my session.

i also just realized that i grouped catcher333 in with fgators. if you read this catcher, i think ur a really good player and to be blunt, better than me, but for some reason i think i run sick hot against you so i dont mind playing with you.

No, no, no, this is all wrong.

1.) Time is money. You could be seeing hands/getting rb during the time you are goofing around finding tables/switching tables. The tables will soften up a bit anyway as all the bitchwad table selectors leave.

2.) Exploiting regs is important to your development as a player

3.) Playing with regs increases your volatility, which is good because a.) you have to learn how to deal with swings, and b.) upswings are fun

4.) Making moves is fun.

5.) Playing ABC against fish is not fun.

6.) You might be tempted to limp(!) sometimes on a table full of fish. Limping is very, very bad obviously. So stay away.

7.) Your green line and blue line will get all f'd up playing with fish.

8.) Your W$WSF will get all f'd up playing with fish. This stat is by far the most important in poker. Win small pots, leave the big ones to others to get sucked out on.

The bottom line is that poker is about MAKING MOVES. If you like to value bet, you suck. So stay away from the fish.

Good post. I've lost thousands of dollars because pf not getting up when feeling angry. As we speak I just got sucked out on w/ AA < 98o hitting its gutshot on the river and immediately I made an angry bluff shove on another table and now I'm tilted as hell. I was up 2 buyins after 30 minutes of playing, now I'm back to zero. This has always been a black hole in my winrate, ever since I started playing. Just tilted off another buyin as we speak. Now I'm [censored] pissed and just closed the client. I hate poker.
