To answer your question, it's not clear. AP officially bought UB.

My guess is that the precise security loophole exploited by the cheating AP executive(s) did not exist on UB, but AP has not been honest or transparent about what happened.

My guess is that the culture of incompetence and only superficial attention to game security was extended to UB, and it is possible that some other loophole is being exploited. That's why, as poker moderator for another site, I call UB "Not Recommended" as well as AP.

This is one of the ways Absolute Poker is obviously hurting itself with its lack of transparency during the scandal. What are they gaining by not being transparent that is worth leaving this cloud of suspicion on UltimateBet and their future?

Can you imagine if they went down!!! I would give up the league title for that to happen. Unfortunately there are probably 4-5 teams who are worse then them and they will finish midtable.
