Why even bet the turn?
100nl 5 handed. Effective stacks 100bb.
I raise to 3.50 utg with AJo. MP (17/14/2.8 over 160) calls. I have been running pretty tag, at about 14/11/3. Flop: 9 10 J rainbow. I lead for 6$, he calls. Turn: Offsuit J. I lead for 14, MP raises to 50, essentially commiting his entire stack. I have a good hand, but... I can't expect him to flatcall with anything worse. He's raising with all better hands, and raising with some worse hands too. 8,444,078 games 6.594 secs 1,280,569 games/sec Board: 9c Td Jh Js Dead: equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 40.035% 31.54% 08.68% 2663551 733263.00 { AJs, AJo } Hand 1: 59.965% 51.57% 08.68% 4354461 733263.00 { TT-99, AJs, KJs+, QJs, AJo, KJo+, QJo } Knowing this, is there a better way to approach the turn (and maybe even the flop)? |

Re: Why even bet the turn?
you're range isn't quite right. since he should raise this flop with both sets and two pair.

Re: Why even bet the turn?
I don't think so. It's just a matter of knowing your opponent's range. FWIW I think you're good here more often than you think.
