i write song lyrics all the time because i always have a song in my head. it's not exciting, but it's something to do that keeps you from falling asleep. i also doodle constantly. my notebooks look like sketch books or something. also make grocery lists. or budget the money i don't have. or text message.

if you can sneak your cell phone behind/under a notebook or textbook, download some game that you can play forever... sudoku, boggle, anything

Though if attendance is mandatory, I normally read a book or *GASP* actually pay attention.

Your in class like 3 hrs a day compared to 7 or 8 in HS... its not that bad - just pay attention!
And ffs I don't do any math for fun LOL like calculus integrations
