Ehh I don't really like the flop at all, I know it's a real small donk bet but I'd have just called. As played I agree with DJ.

I'd rather check the turn.

Problem is I have no idea what card helps him and what doesn't. When he donks into me I feel like he definitely has a draw/weak middle pairish type hand a lot. And thus, I raise flop for value/protection. He calls, which I expect him to do a lot. Now on the turn, an ace is less likely for him, and also it's a card on which he might think the same thing about my hand and thus call me down with a T or JJ or something. You guys don't agree?

Also, flop donk is like less than half-pot.

Edit; do you not like it because he'll fold too much with worse hands or call too often with better hands? or something else?

Pretty much, and getting shoved on by a draw would suck. I'd just treat his minibet as a check and see it as checking behind, which is a pretty good option on that flop. Especially vs a donk who probably doesn't read hands well.

your giving him too much credit for a draw w/o a good enough read. He can easily have and ace here and this is a spew. That said I like the flop. I guess it might be a thin value bet on the turn, but I don't know the history.

If they check the flop here I like a bet, b/c if not you have to call a turn bet and won't have any idea what he's got.
