i dont believe in substances that treat psychological problems. if the root of the problem is psychological, then the way to overcome it is psychological

but hey, some beer will either limber you up or make you go on crazy monkey tilt lol

Didn't try any drugs. Won $3500 the previous week, tilted it all away on monday. I'm a student living off $1200 a month. I hate myself.

uumm 1st find out why you have the tilt? Is it "just" with poker? does it happen with other things in life? Is it your mood? etc? It can be caused by a wide range of things from you just having immature emotional control (which you have to work on personal) to having high anxiety or being bipolar (which are both treated with medicine like xanax or lithium - and more effectively if it is coupled with therapy)

Figure out if its an all around life problem or just a poker focused ordeal...then go from there...

why does everyone post [censored] in the thread? i always thought the psychology-forum is meant for serious answers?!?!

I dont have these immense tilt problems like op but id also be interested if someone made positive experiences with, lets say, substances. I am obv NOT looking for H or speed i highly doubt OP is looking for this.
but i am pretty sure there is some [censored] that is harmless and helps u being focused and/or calm/prevents u from tilting ....not???

so far i usually just drink some red bull, eat apples and some stuff with lots of dextrose... maybe its more a placebo lol but at least the red bull helps staying focused....
... tilting-problems will probably remain unsolved by this stuff. [img]/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img]

Let's say there is a drug that improves cognitive function, attention, stamina, prevents tilt, is non-addictive and has no significant side effect. Say that you've found it and use it. Would you tell everyone else about it?
