Yes, they aided in the production of oil.
The oil was used to fund insurgents and terrorism which resulted in American deaths. No oil....no money to buy arms to kill Americans.

[/ QUOTE ]

And some Europeans bought the oil! When will you start bombing them?

I think China might have something to say about any US attempt to disrupt its energy security.

[/ QUOTE ]
First oil is a fungible product. China is not limited to Iran for their oil source.

Second what can China do if the USA bombs the Iranian oil field? Lodge a complaint to the UN? Big deal.... Attack the USA? Don't make me laugh. China may get mad but screw them. American security trumps their hurt feelings...

[/ QUOTE ]

Something like 90% of the casualties suffered by the US in the latest idiocy have been caused by Sunni muslims. They are "funded" in part by the Saudis. They also HATE the Iranians and their Shiite buddies (though in truth the moron right doesn't seem to understand that the Iraqi insurgents are basically home-grown, and in a country literally litered with weapons don't really need outside support to do what they've been doing so effectively).

So when do we start bombing Saudi Arabia?

Goddam, it's like living in a country full of stupid people. Something like 90% of the military believed that Saddam Hussein was behind 9/11 in a poll taken a few years back. Probably half still believe it today. The Idiot Prez was quoted by an ambassador as not even understanding the basic Shia-Sunni schism just before launching the war.

Infuckingcredible.

Well, if the US had not started this idiocy, under the pretense of what were obviously lies... there would have been 600,000+ Iraqis not killed and a few thousand americans and allies not killed!

Felix was talking about the feelings of the Chinese but I think the quote describes very well how he feels about the casualties in Iraq, too.

American security trumps all your softie pinko liberal hurt feelings...

Well it seems that politicians in the US are very able to manipulate americans sense of security, but even if that was in question it may not be, in fact it may be far from being, in the interest of humanity.

Cons:
Price of gas goes up a $1 per gallon.
We may need to bomb their fields again assuming they can attract foreign investment to replace their destroyed oil drilling equipment...

[/ QUOTE ]
What was your list of cons when it came to invading iraq?
