Either call or raise / fold to 3, if you are comfortable doing that against this villain.

If I am villain you might have the best hand once in a while. But not enough to call.

Who is villain? If you dont mind sharing

if villain doesn't suck it's unlikely he peeled that turn with overcards that would give him a bare jack here. he can have a ton of flushes though

I would call because I assume that most people suck. vs some people I play with it is an easy value raise though

I thought a donk bet with a flush would be highly unusual here given the flush cards came on the turn and river and thus hero would have nothing to really fear. There was absolutely nothing scary about this board that would force the villain to donk. I thought the most likely was a hand like A,J and that villain didnt want hero to check behind with a hand like AK or midpair and that villain was trying to get a value bet in. I raised hoping he couldnt get away from his jack. My plan was to fold to a reraise.

Well, villain reraised and I did something a rarely do, I paid off to see the hand even though I knew it was a flush. I called and villain flipped over the nut flush.

My call at the end was brutal of course and I knew it was brutal at the time. However, I am still iffy whether a call or raise here is best. I think I am leaning call but I dont want to be results oriented.

I don't remember the players name.

I thought I responded to this, but I guess not. I'd just call. Most times when a decent villain takes this line with a made hand he's folding to your river raise anyway. Also, its easier for him to get to the river in this fashion with a hand that picked up a FD on the turn.
