There is a greater likelihood funds/your money would be taken if you never withdraw it from either FTP or epassporte.(I am not saying there is a real risk, just that marginal 3d party credit risk or legal risk is not zero.)

If you get your money in your hands or mattress or wherever, it is harder for "the Government" to seize it.
