Default 35$ Live: AJo faces reraise from the blinds

35$ buyin in a local pokerclub. Not long since I moved to the table, so no real reads.

Villain is a young kid, maybe 18-20 years old. Wears glasses and a hoodsweater. Seems kind of aggressive, and knows what he's doing. I think he is a local regular.

I'm 21, playing tight up until know. The last hand I about doubled up with AA in a big pot. Someone raised in EP, tight player shoves for 4k, next player miniraises. I pick up AA in the SB and shove. OR and miniraiser folds, and I win vs QQ. This is the very next hand:

I now have about 257k, villain got about 25k. BB is 400, no ante.

Folded to me on the BTN, I raise to 1100 with AJo. SB(villain) reraises somewhat fast to 4k(maybe more, I can't remember), and BB folds. I ?

I think I would call and see what happens on the flop, you have a lot of chips so you can speculate plus you will be in position. He could be doing this with a wider range then usual because you are raising right after you got your big stack. Something like A8+ 55+ KQ, QJ, KJ. Call and evaulate.

If he knows what he's doing, this may be a re-steal,
especially if he thinks you are a player too.

In a live game, I trust my reads, and can get away from
this hand (I think he shows you a better A or 77+).

Also, and most importantly, your avatar will give me
nightmares.

Yeah, it was 27k, sorry about that. I tanked and folded, but I think it was close to a push. I push AQ without a doubt.

Push AQ "without a doubt?" Really? I mean, look, if you are going to 4-bet push here, you are not doing it for value, so AJ/AQ is not that big of a difference.

This one is tough and it makes my head hurt. Against an aggro opponent with the button, there is value in calling here and hitting an A/J. I CAN'T imagine his range here not putting AJ a little ahead of his median RR. The 8K pot sucks, but I think you should call and play poker here.

What would your plan on the flop be, Timber?

It's close:

Call > fold >>>>>> push
