Okay, this might be a stuipid question. In a 9 CAT league it's pretty much always better to start ANY player over NO player right?

They can possibly negatively effect 3 stats FT%, FG%, and TO's but it's impossible to to lose any points in any other cat.

So ANY person>>> NO person right? H2h league if it matters.

Generally yes though. While possible, it's pretty rare that you'd rather start no one.

Deron Williams you are obv amazing but 8 assists is just not cutting it, I expect you to average at least 10 this season although I am very happy you will be likley raising your 3pt percentage from last year.

clearly, no. you should know that frequently there are players whose positives outweigh their negatives. the extreme example is the player who scores 2 points on 1/50 shooting. yes he contributes 2 points, but he negates the positive FG% value of your other teammates. see BBM's "show player values" tickbox on rankings/projections

on an aside, it seems like one of the 2p2 leagues counts 2pt%? oh noes, i'm going to be reading about that useless stat this whole basketball season... and for its supporters, i dont think there's any H2H/Roto basketball league that uses 2pt% and can claim to be a more realistic representation of player value than a normal league

edit: going back and reading that, i really must be grumpy right now

LOL. Some of you are funny. Colin is upset for Tony Parker putting up almost exactly his averages for the last like 3 freaking years (other than FT% he's been insanely consistent at like 18/3/5.)

Now Epip is mad that Williams isn't at double digit assists, but is certain his 3% will improve. You guys are funny.
