Find it hard to believe someone could consider themselves to be so ethically sound and also think this is acceptable.

For someone to do this I would think their philosophy would be, "so what if it isn't ethical. That's life. If it's to my advantage I'm going to do it," or something like that because it's kind of obvious.

But he does this table-stalking thing and also seems to think it's perfectly 100% ethical to do so while at the same time evidently getting on the case of every single player who potentially once played on their friend's account, etc etc.

Yes, a 5BB stack will pretty much negate any advantage you have.

But if you play them, and they double up, you now have put yourself in a +ev situation against a larger stack that you wouldn't have if you quit.

So your expectation against the short stack isn't just -rake, it also includes future hands with larger edges if they double up.

[/ QUOTE ]

WTF? Any amount of money he runs up over the initial 5bbs is money that would have been yours if you quit. If he doesn't reload, all you can ever win is the 5bb. If he runs his stack up to 25bb, you might have 65/35 edge over him, but 80% of the money he's playing is yours.

fwiw I am a huge ethics nit in poker and while I agree that it's a little douchey to just sit out and say "reload" I do not think it's unethical at all. Either player can quit any time they want, any player can ask for the other player to accept certain conditions or the match is over.

[/ QUOTE ]

Right, but by the same logic shouldn't Mr. Crazy Mike not site at every one of OP's tables and say "i want 50/100".

OP next time just sit with 5bbs at all the tables. Mr. Powerade's only option will be to type "touche" and headasplode.

[/ QUOTE ]

I just wanted to chime in that this idea was both hilarious and practical.

#3... I have the reputation to drop 10-20K at a drop because I dont quit people and have huge ego. This has caused me hundreds of thousends of dollars all I ask is people to do the same and that is why I ask for them to reload. Why put me at risk for losing lots if they wont do the same.

I don't know why I'm posting in this thread, but this struck me. That really seems like a personal problem and certainly not anything to offer up as reasoning. There's just no logic behind it, only you asking other people to match your bad habits.

His guiding philosophy on the ethics of a poker related matter seems to be IOKIYACM (it's ok if you are crazy mike)
