gbmantis and I went and played golf after busting out quickly in the $1500 6max.

Me: 13 handicap who has only played 4 nines all year, I shot 51, 47,51,41 on a par 35. I played about 45 rounds of 18 last year.

gbmantis: 3 handicap

Match: He gives me 10 shots and I play from the whites and he plays from the blacks which is 900 yards longer.

We are playing match play.

Expected Results/who's getting the best of it

Depends. But I guess you'd have the best of it when it comes to the paper.
One thing to consider thogh, how far does gbmantis shoot? Does he make shots that consistently comes 50 yards further then you? Since then he'd be taking an advantage of the white starting position and 'plus' number of shots you get.
His variance is also suspected to be lower with a 10 handicap difference.

So I guess it comes much down to how much variance there is in your play.

I think you win it, generally the big diff is consistency, a high handicapper has some really bad holes eg triple bogey but in matchplay this won't be a problem.

I got worked, he was 8 up after 14. What killed me was the course was real tight, which the guy in the shop said it was wide open. I hit ob or in the water 7x. next time we play I'm getting 13 shots, another part to this that I didn't think about was he has his own clubs and I had to rent. He is a lefty so I can't borrow his, bad beat there
