Default ($225) AQ played passively vs JohnnyBax

Villain, if you don't know, wins a lot of money at poker.
Comments appreciated.

I'd raise preflop and hope to isolate the limper with position and a strong hand.

Given that you limped I like how you played it postflop.

I like a raise on the flop. If he calls and then leads turn again, I might bail.

EDIT: I think pf limp is totally fine.

Raise preflop for value / to protect your hand

Raise the flop

I'd feel much more comfortable letting this pot go if I had shown interest in the pot at any point, as it stands you let a good aggressive player run over you

Just because he wins at poker doesn't mean you need to be afraid of a flop bet, unless you have a good read on him?

I'd raise to about 400-500 on the flop and play from there, taking a cheap showdown if possible if you are afraid of his cards.

Limping with AQ is fine here. Raising to 120 or 150 wouldn't be bad either. I'd reraise the flop to 300. If he pushes its a very tough decision.

Why are you all gung-ho about raising this flop?

There are no draws and it would turn things into a WA/WB situation. He's not calling a flop raise with any worse hands.

You played it fine on all streets. River is a fold of course.

You're allowing him to blow you off your hand too often

I don't like this, but I'm sure you have your reasons.

I think I raise this flop.
