Push the river. Let him look you up with 88 again.

As played, call. Zio does some fairly random/bad stuff sometimes, makes bets that don't make sense, and could easily be "value betting" 88 here.

Timing tells might be important too.

With the history you gave, I think a call seems standard. Pushing river seems like a good option as well. Is it possible he could be floating with AK, especially since he saw you back off before? Even if he wouldnt, it seems pocket pairs are good possibilities. I have no history but if lyrics says he is capable of "value betting" 88 here id say its an insta-call.

Assuming he did hit a set with a low pocket pair, does it seems reasonable that he would calluntil river instead of raising earlier? If so, id have to say he played it bad because getting away from AA on that flop is hard.

This is a great card to push the river with against a thinking player.

I know, but honestly I'm not sure I give him enough credit yet to be on that level.

No offense to zio if he's reading, i just don't know how in depth he's thinking. Vs cts or krantz or greg i'd definitely shove the river etc.

[/ QUOTE ]

excuse me sir.

shove river, or c/c. shoving is prob better.

I call, and expect to see a K with a flush draw or a bluff like 56 or busted flush draw a lot.

Given the history, I really like a call here. If a fold is profitable (and I don't believe it is against this player), then it can only be marginally so.

I would need a very strong read to crai here. If he has the made hand, then we're walking right into his trap and despite previous history, he will still get away from most hands that we beat.

Surely how we define the villans range depends a lot on how loose/bad the minraiser is?

the minraiser is something like a 32/17 lag, not a very strong player IMO but others might disagree.

So then is it safe to say that zio would be reraising to isolate with a fairly wide range. Including perhaps 77/88
