As a bluff? to get value out of A high? what is his most likely range?

smaller pairs will call our bet. we are protect our hand against 6 outs (note: I'm not saying bet to protect our hand, but protection is a byproduct of betting here).

also, checking just leaves us a lot of weird, tough to play spots...especially against an unknown.

like Nicky said, checking puts us in awful spots

if you're not betting this turn, then ask yourself what 3betting PF accomplishes. i don't think you should be 3bing pf if you're checking this turn...

call pre. don't see how it's an awful spot if we check, we can safely fold to a bet and not lose sleep.

but i'd lose less sleep if we just bet the turn, being the last $$$ we put into the pot.
