10/25 Live, 2 Pair River VBet?

Caesar's 10/25nl, 3-Handed.

Villian is a youngish guy (25 maybe) and seems reasonable enough so far, nothing too noteworthy when we were 6-handed. Game just got 3-handed, not too aggressive so far, but we've only been 3-handed for maybe 3 orbits.

Effective stacks are about 3000.

BTN raises to 75, SB (Villian) calls, Hero calls.

Checks around.

Turn (225): 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
SB bets 225, Hero raises to 800, BTN folds, SB calls.

River (1825): 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
SB checks, Hero...

I'd bet 1200 and expect top pair to fold..Seems too weak to check this back imo.

i dunno actually, i think he has a set here or the lower straight a lot and if not i don't think he pays you off. people play very weak on turns in live poker without the nuts... i would check this i think. (unless your image is insane)

Raise less on turn, bet 1/2 pot or check the river, I see no reason why he'd pay off a big bet here with QJ or w/e if he's reasonable.......but it's live and people never cease to amaze me so what do I know?
