I was one of the most vocal opponents of Iron. However, he seems to have learned a lot lately and has been doing a great job modding. I fully support Iron and Borodog to mod politics. I am sick of seeing broken quotes.

I think Borodog's critics are underestimating the life he will bring to the forum from a leadership position.

He's also paid his dues and served the forum well - evidenced by single-handedly influencing more posters than any one else on major political issues.

I doubt he will be abusive and will bet he ends up a crowd favorite if instituted.

Looking past the downside of an early death to his ever growing list of mod notes, this would be a good play, imo.

He's smart, well spoken, high volume and often high content. He's also pretty hot headed and pig headed, and liable to do things on a whim, which makes this a clear no I think.

If politics needs another mod (which it doesn't seem to these days), why not choose a politer and more open minded poster? If you contrast someone like andyfox with Borodog, his potential flaws as mod become very apparent.

LOL I have no idea how you know about that. But between that and niss, who is my favorite Politics loon, implying it's a bad idea it makes me wonder if I should STFU for once because honestly I have no idea about his politics or how he interacts in that forum. Now I could see him being a mod of OOT or something because his tone is welcome there and he's generally awesome with the OT stuff.

andyfox reads in threaded mode. Finding that out was worse than Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, and Milli Vanilli combined.

I don't believe it.

I'd support Borodog as a mod of one of the non-serious forums, like OOT or LoL. He gets a little too excited and partial elsewhere.

The day borodog becomes a mod is the day i stop posting.

Copernicus and stabn in one swoop. Mat, this is a no-brainer.

Edit: This thread isn't necessary. As Boro himself said, Iron does a fantastic job.
